A member of the North American Fiddlers’ Hall of Fame, Patti Kusturok has more than 35 years of experience teaching fiddling in private lessons, small and large groups, fiddle camps and workshops, and in the school system. Patti was fortunate to have been mentored by some of Canada’s legendary fiddlers, namely Reg Bouvette and Graham Townsend. While fiddling is her first love, Patti has also received classical training, having taken both practical (Western Board) and theory exams, and achieving First Class Honours. In addition to teaching at the MCMA, Patti is the fiddle instructor at the Desautels Faculty of Music at the University of Manitoba. Patti is available to teach on Wednesday evenings.
