McKenna Ogg playing guitar for Baby Beats class at Scout Coffee

Have you thought about hosting an early childhood music class at your facility?

Do you run a childcare facility? Are you in charge of programming for a community centre? Perhaps you need to find activities for after-school programming or day camps? Or maybe you own a small business and want to build community engagement? Have you thought about hosting an early childhood music class, such as our Baby Beats class, or a different music class for older children?

Our Baby Beats class is an early childhood music program for babies aged 0-3 that focuses on musical foundations and social skill development. Babies gain fine and gross motor skills, learn how to wait their turn, discover tempo and rhythm by dancing and playing with scarves or body percussion, match pitch and find joy in musical storytelling.

Our Musical Foundations classes are another popular choice. In these music classes for children 3-5 years of age, we introduce foundational music concepts such as rhythm and beat, singing, listening, and instrument exploration. The instructor introduces musical concepts through play, singing, movement, percussion instruments and stories.

These are just two popular examples of group music classes offered at satellite locations. We also offer the option to set up after-school private music lessons at schools and other facilities. Our faculty teach a wide range of instruments-everything from piano, violin, guitar and ukulele to voice lessons and more. Each of our highly-qualified instructors have a degree in music or the equivalent in performance experience.

We offer a diverse range of fee for service programs for all ages right in your community, and we can work with you to develop a program unique to your goals. To find our how we can help support your business and community with arts programming, email our Director of Programming & Fund Development, Domanie Billinghurst-Schadek, at outreach@mcma.ca.
