Musical Storytime

Our Musical Storytime, a children’s group music class for 2-3 year-olds will explore various themes each week through singing, movement, instrument exploration, and books. This hands-on group is a fun and engaging place to introduce your child to early musical concepts, build social connections, and foster a love for music.

At the Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts, 2-3 year-olds who show an interest in music should start with our Musical Storytime group music class. As your child gets older, they will progress into our Adventures in Music group class for 4-5 year-olds. Next, we suggest our Intro to Instruments program for 4-7 year-olds. These group music classes will introduce your child to a different instrumental discipline each week, letting them decide what they like best as they transition into private instruction. Another option for children who are ready for private lessons, but haven’t chosen an instrument yet is our Musical Foundations program for 4-6 year-olds. With these 30 minute introductory music lessons, your child will gain exposure to singing, piano, recorder, ukulele, and percussion instruments while developing skills in an individual setting. Once your child has chosen an instrument, and is ready for private music lessons, you can request a free consultation to get started.

Keep an eye on this page for registration information. Spots tend to fill quickly, so we recommend registering early!

To register, click on the purple “Get Tickets” button for your desired group class. If the purple “Get Tickets” button is not visible, that means the class is either full, or the class has already started. Next, click on the plus sign on the ticket to select the desired amount of tickets. Then click on the purple “Get Tickets” button. Fill in the registration information for each student, then click on the purple “Checkout Now” button.

If the class is full, click on the purple “notify me” button to get notified if a spot becomes available.
