Elsie Fehr

Elsie Fehr began piano lessons at the age of six. In her early years she studied piano, violin and theory with Madeline Gauvin. Elsie has over 40 years of teaching experience with many students achieving top marks in both RCM and Conservatory exams. Many of her students have received scholarships and have won awards. Elsie has taught in Ethiopia and all over Manitoba. She has been teaching at the MCMA since 1991. Over the years and presently Elsie has been involved with the Manitoba Registered Music Teacher’s Association, University of Manitoba Prep Studies, Piano Club of Manitoba, Winnipeg Early Music Society, pedagogy conferences in Chicago, Calgary and Winnipeg and has participated in master classes with J. P Sevilla, M. Jablonski, J. Rowland, V. Tyron and A. Montecine.
