MCMA Adult Choir-6:30 pm (fall)
Ages 18+. If you are an adult singer looking for community, shared experience, and a supportive, no pressure musical environment, the MCMA Adult Choir might be exactly the right fit! Led by the incomparable Chrystl Bartel, singers of all experience levels will explore a “formal” choral experience, using varied repertoire to learn singing in parts. This choir which will reflect an inspirational context focusing on peace, love and kindness and include Canadian composers, musical theatre, sacred selections, pop music and show tunes. Students are not expected to know how to read choral music and this concept will be well supported. All skill levels and voice types are welcome!
A Cappella Singing for Adults-1:30 pm (fall)
Ages 18+. Have you ever listened to a barbershop quartet or choir sing in perfect harmony and been mesmerized by the sounds? Are you an adult singer of any experience level looking for a unique musical experience to share with other music lovers, while fostering a sense of community? Our new A Cappella Singing for Adults group will focus on discovering new skills in a supportive, low pressure environment where students feel safe to try new things while allowing their voices and ears to develop. The goal is to focus on listening and working together, first in unison and eventually in multiple harmonies as you explore multiple genres of music and sound together. Led by the incomparable Chrystl Bartel, prepare yourself to exceed your own musical expectations! This program includes two (optional) recital opportunities per year.

Ages 2-3. We’ll explore various themes each week through singing, movement, instrument exploration, and books. This hands-on group is a fun and engaging place to introduce your child to early musical concepts, build social connections, and foster a love for music!
Adventures in Music-10:30 am (fall)
Ages 4-5. This un-parented group will use a variety of instruments, movement songs, and familiar tunes to create a fun space for connecting and making music. It is a great class for kids who are ready to start learning simple musical skills such as pitch matching, keeping a steady beat, and changing tempos.

Ages 0-2. Baby Beats is a parented early childhood music program for babies 0-2 that focuses on musical foundations and social skill development. Babies gain fine and gross motor skills, learn how to wait their turn, discover tempo and rhythm by dancing and playing with scarves or body percussion, match pitch and find joy in musical storytelling.

Intro to Piano is a four week introductory group class focusing on some piano FUNdamentals in a supportive group environment. Geared for children aged 7-9, they will get to spend time playing with others, getting introduced to note reading, and making music in a small group. This class is intended to explore musical and instrumental options in a little more depth to support later individual study.

Ages 7-9. Is your child curious about becoming a strings player? Local violinist Clair Tang will use creative ways to introduce the violin to little hands! This four week introduction program will cover the basics of posture, bow holds, tone production, notation and getting those fingers down on the string for their first notes. The goal is to discover aptitude, interest, fun music making and community. Tuition includes the cost of a monthly instrument rental.
