Our children’s group music classes are a fun and engaging place to introduce your child to early musical concepts such as basic rhythms and matching pitch. Each of our highly-qualified instructors have a degree in music or the equivalent in performance experience. In addition to experience and education, you can feel assured that your child will be in a safe environment, as all our faculty are required to have an up-to-date clearance by the Provincial Child Abuse Registry. We keep our class sizes small, allowing your child to interact with their instructor, and benefit from the friendly, supportive, close-knit group environment. Make friends, find community, try out a new instrument, and have fun making music together!
Our downtown Winnipeg music school offers group music classes for kids at our location on the University of Winnipeg campus in Bryce Hall (directly east of Wesley Hall-the “castle” building) in addition to various satellite locations, such as Scout Coffee (1199 Rothesay Street, Winnipeg).
We also offer a variety of group music classes for adults! These group classes offer many benefits, including an opportunity to make new friends, reduced stress, and improved fine motor skills. Plus, our classes are fun! Our group class offerings for adults include Musical Theatre for Adults (ages 16+), Vocal Workshops (ages 16+) and music appreciation classes. Each class offers an opportunity for personal growth and fulfillment. Whether you’re a beginner starting a musical journey, or a seasoned musician interested in refining your skills, we have something for everyone!
Our Music Equals FREE community programs are designed for all ages and skill levels. Participants can learn to play different instruments, learn more about various musical genres, and expand their skillset through the medium of music. Our goal is to increase accessibility to music opportunities for those who face barriers to participating in music education.
