The MCMA is so excited to offer an introductory experience of Indigenous Dance! Learn the basics and teachings of some familiar Indigenous Dances. This four week program is for EVERYONE, ages six & up. Our gifted instructor, Meg Olmstead, will not only show you the steps, but create space for understanding and teaching of why those steps exist. Children and adults are welcome to register and participate equally as this is intended as a community building program!
Accessibility: The Asper Centre for Theatre and Film (where this group class is held) is accessible via a ramp with a railing outside the building with a push-plate activated door at the top. There is an accessible women’s washroom with a push-plate activated door on the main floor, and an accessible men’s washroom with a push-plate activated door on the basement floor. There is an elevator available to get down to the basement where the classroom is located. An accessibility map can be viewed here.
