Donna Linklater teaching an Intro to Musical Theatre group class.

New instructor for our Intro to Musical Theatre program

Did you know that we have a new instructor for our Intro to Musical Theatre program? Donna Linklater graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Music with a major in applied voice, then moved to Toronto, where she discovered her love of teaching early childhood music as well as writing, recording, and performing her songs in the indie music circuit. Donna returned to school at George Brown College to complete her early childhood education diploma. Donna is thrilled to be back in her hometown of Winnipeg, and we are thrilled to have her as part of the Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts family! Donna loves using music from all genres, and her favourite parts of teaching are building relationships, and learning new ways of thinking about music from her students. Donna believes that the most important thing for a child to take away from a music class is that it’s fun! This approach is evident in the big smiles on her students’ faces.

Want to take a class with Donna? We have a brand new Intro to Musical Theatre class for 6-9 year-olds starting up on Sunday, November 3 at 2:30 pm. Your child will get to invoke their imagination as they discover the three parts of musical theatre-singing, movement and acting! If your child is between the ages of 3-5, you can sign them up for an Intro to Musical Theatre class beginning on Sunday, January 12. Choose between a 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm start time. These classes are only $50! Register today at mcma.ca/classes.
