
Intro to Gospel Singing for Adults-3 pm

Do you love gospel music? Are you an adult singer who loves to sing joyful and uplifting songs? This four-week class will explore gospel singing from its earliest form, gospel songs from the Civil Rights Movement, and modern popular songs influenced by the gospel style of singing. The course will cover stylistic elements of gospel singing, including harmonizing and free style singing.
These introductory classes are designed to be a stepping stone towards private music lessons. We are offering graduates of this class a $50 discount for individual instruction. Intro to Gospel Singing for Adults students must register for private lessons within one year of graduation from this class in order to take advantage of this special offer.
Accessibility: Our ensemble room (where this group class is held) is accessible by a ramp outside Bryce Hall. Once you enter the building, you’ll find a gender neutral, accessible washroom available to you. This is next to a push plate activated door leading to our ensemble room. There is a Handi-Transit stop across the street from Bryce Hall. An accessibility map can be viewed here.
