Violin Instructor for SMA Satellite Program

Erika Olson began playing the violin at age five, studying the Suzuki Method in Canada and New Zealand. In 2013 she performed as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine in Kiev. She went on to complete a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in music performance at the University of Manitoba, where she served as concertmaster of the student orchestra. She has performed in the Winnipeg Music Festival and New Music Festival, and has been the opening performer for Virtuosi Concert Series and Manitoba Chamber Orchestra concerts. In 2019 she performed with Michael Buble at the Bell MTS Centre, and continues to collaborate with many ensembles and choirs in Winnipeg.
