Alina Havrylyuk began her career in music instruction and as piano concert master in Yekaterinburg, Russia. She has completed her advanced training at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Ukraine. Her diplomas earned her the highest teaching rank and prestige attainable in Ukraine. Alina is recognized for prestigious musical awards and her career as piano teacher, concertmaster, choir conductor and her performances as a concert pianist. Alina performed with vocalists and guitarists in Canada which have been aired on both radio and television in Saskatchewan, as well as numerous chamber orchestras in Ukraine. Additionally, Alina accompanies for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the University of Winnipeg convocations, and at the Winnipeg Music Festival. She has also been a piano Adjudicator at the 2021 Canadian Music Competition. Alina has been a piano instructor for over 28 years, and is dedicated to providing an individualized approach to each and every student. She enjoys sharing her passion for music through enthusiastic and pedagogical approaches with students and musicians of all levels.

Lutsk State Music School, Lviv State Music Academy, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Received the highest teaching rank and prestige in Ukraine.  I have experience as a piano instructor, concert pianist, choir conductor and concert master.

What makes your lessons unique?

I design the classes around my interaction with the students, giving them an opportunity to select their music pieces and performances. I structure learning by incorporating the student’s abilities, experience and goals along with curriculum.

What do you love about teaching?

I really enjoy the challenge of finding the best way to explain concepts in an easy to understand way for any age or skill level.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about taking music lessons?

Don’t be afraid to pursue your interests, music is a way for one to express themselves and take the opportunity to explore.
