The Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts is Manitoba’s premier house for advanced strings instruction. Our downtown Winnipeg music school offers private violin lessons, viola lessons, cello lessons and fiddle lessons for children to adults, from beginner students to those seeking advanced instruction. We offer private violin, viola, cello, double bass, mandolin and fiddle lessons for children and teenagers to adults, from beginner students to those seeking advanced instruction. Our highly-qualified faculty members teach a wide range of musical styles for violin, viola, cello, double bass, mandolin and fiddle. Every one of our strings instructors is highly qualified to teach. A majority hold Bachelor degrees, many possess Masters degrees and some have earned Doctorate degrees. Our violin, viola, cello, double bass, mandolin and fiddle instructors consider themselves musician/teachers — professional musicians who teach. Our strings teachers offer customized learning plans tailored to each student’s goals and skill level, to help them progress faster and further. Meet with one of our strings instructors before registering to find the right student/strings instructor combination and ensure the best learning experience possible.

Our student/strings instructor matching service

The student/strings instructor combination has an impact on a student’s learning, achieving and enjoyment of their musical experience, so it’s important to make the best match possible. That’s why our process includes an assessment of the students’ needs to match them with a faculty member for a free consultation.

If you have a specific violin, viola, cello, double bass, mandolin or fiddle teacher in mind, please call our office at 204-988-7650 to find out more about available music lesson slots in their schedule.
