Are you an intermediate and up winds player looking for small ensemble experience? Instructor Caue Pinto will lead you in a dynamic group experience exploring the history, theory, and practice of iconic Latin and Afro-Caribbean musical styles, specifically tailored for wind instruments. You will spend 14 weeks diving deep into Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Ska, Choro, Samba, Afrobeat and Forro genres. Goals are to understand roots and theoretical style while also feeling the groove in your body and developing ensemble skills, and hopefully making some friends along the way.

Accessibility: Our ensemble room (where this group class is held) is accessible by a ramp outside Bryce Hall. Once you enter the building, you’ll find a gender neutral, accessible washroom available to you. This is next to a push plate activated door leading to our ensemble room. An accessibility map can be viewed here. To request accommodations (including access to Bryce Hall from the top of the ramp), please email info@mcma.ca or call 204-988-7650 upon registration.
