Stephanie Bell

Stephanie Bell is a Winnipeg-born singer, songwriter, and educator with a multidisciplinary background in classical, jazz, musical theatre, and pop styles. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Arts from The Juilliard School where she received intensive training in vocal technique, musicianship, performance, and music history from internationally recognized artists including Amy Burton, Isabel Leonard, Denyce Graves, Lawrence Brownlee and more.

As a performer, Stephanie sang principal roles in several Juilliard Opera productions in addition to being featured in masterclasses, liederabends, and solo recitals. She has appeared at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, and internationally at the Estates Theatre in Prague where she sang Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, as well a cabaret performance at Prague’s renowned Reduta Jazz Club. An alumna of the Winnipeg Music Festival, Stephanie is a recipient of the Ladies Orange Benevolent Association Trophy, the W.H. Anderson Memorial Trophy, and the Alma Wynne Memorial Trophy. Most recently, Stephanie began work on her debut album, which will blend her classical training with an alternative sound. Audiences can hear her covers and original music every Friday night at Underdogs where she is the resident artist.

With over a decade of teaching experience in both New York City and Winnipeg, Stephanie has a passion for working with singers of all ages and skill level. Whether you’re a new singer or have had previous training, Stephanie loves helping her students achieve their goals and develop their musicianship and artistry.
