There are many benefits to introducing your child to music from a young age, including the development of discipline, improved coordination, and fostering a love of music! Our children’s group music classes are a fun and engaging way to introduce your child to early musical concepts. We keep our class sizes small, allowing your child to interact with their instructor, and benefit from the friendly, supportive, close-knit group environment. Make friends, find community, try out a new instrument, and have fun making music together!
Our music school is centrally located in downtown Winnipeg, with plenty of public parking nearby, and a rapid transit bus stop across the street. Our music classes take place on the University of Winnipeg campus, in Bryce Hall–directly east of Wesley Hall (the “castle” building). Please click here for accessibility information. Please use the buzzer to access the building on weekends and after 6 pm on weekdays.
Each of our highly-qualified music instructors have a degree in music or the equivalent in performance experience. A majority hold Bachelor degrees, many possess Masters degrees and some have earned Doctorate degrees. In addition to experience and education, you can feel assured that your child will be in a safe environment, as all our faculty are required to have an up-to-date clearance by the Provincial Child Abuse Registry.
