Auditions for the 21-22 season coming soon!

The Conservatory Music Theatre (CMT) program is a music theatre post-secondary training program, presented in partnership by the MCMA and The Village Conservatory for Musical Theatre. This program delivers over 100 hours of instruction for this 18 week program in singing, dance, acting and creation as well as bi-weekly masterclasses led by professionals in the arts community. All MCMA students are invited to attend the masterclasses as guests of the CMT program. Our participants have the opportunity to perform in our winter 2021 production: a student-led, faculty-mentored year-end devised theatre project should live performance be allowed by the Manitoba government.

The MCMA and the ViC are committed to providing high quality, post-secondary alternative music theatre education in Manitoba. This is accomplished through an emphasis on strong triple-threat fundamentals and applying those fundamentals to the process of creation and collaboration. Above all, the we believe in the power of multidisciplinary art and strives to help students explore different ways to express themselves.
