If the class is full\, click on the purple “notify me” button to get notified if a spot becomes available. \nMusic Equals Baby Beats is a FREE\, virtual parented early childhood music program for babies 0-3 focusing on musical foundations and helping parents understand how their babies learn. Little ones gain fine and gross motor skills\, mirror their parents\, discover tempo and rhythm by dancing and playing with scarves or body percussion\, match pitch and find joy in musical storytelling-all from the comfort of their own home. This full funded program prioritizes flexibility and works as a drop in program\, so families can participate as frequently as they are able.

Ukulele is an incredibly accessible and fun way to explore musicianship at any age. This four week introduction to chords\, strumming\, and singing to your favourite classics is a great way to pursue that dream of playing an instrument as an adult. This class is all about fun\, camaraderie\, and shared experiences in a space reserved for adults! Instruments are provided. \nThese introductory classes are designed to be a stepping stone towards private music lessons. We are offering graduates of this class a $50 discount for individual instruction. Intro to Ukulele for Adults students must register for private lessons within one year of graduation from this class in order to take advantage of this special offer. \nAccessibility: Our ensemble room (where this group class is held) is accessible by a ramp outside Bryce Hall. If the class is full\, click on the purple “notify me” button to get notified if a spot becomes available. \nUpon request from the recent Blues Singing for Adults class\, we are pleased to introduce a class that focuses strictly on vocal technique for Jazz\, Blues and similar styles of singing. Led by MCMA Vocal Workshop Instructor Adèle M. Wilding\, singers will be introduced to basic skills to facilitate effective singing: posture\, breathing and support\, and vocal placement\, among other skills. Weeks one to four will explore basic technique. Weeks five and six will feature song sharing activities. \nThese introductory classes are designed to be a stepping stone towards private music lessons. We are offering graduates of this class a $50 discount for individual instruction. It’s designed for all of us who have ever wanted to dance and sing our way out of the theatre after watching a musical! Learn the basics of musical theatre: acting\, singing\, and choreography in a fun\, relaxed\, and supportive environment. No experience required. Classes will include some fun warm-ups\, drama games\, acting and movement\, and basic dance moves. Invite your friends to join you for a fun and fabulous afternoon! \nAccessibility: The Asper Centre for Theatre and Film (where this group class is held) is accessible via a ramp with a railing outside the building with a push-plate activated door at the top. There is an accessible women’s washroom with a push-plate activated door on the main floor\, and an accessible men’s washroom with a push-plate activated door on the basement floor. This student-led class will focus on repertoire building\, performance technique and song sharing in both genres. Although new jazz and blues songs will be explored\, participants are encouraged to bring songs from their own repertoire to each class. Weeks one to four will explore the above learning objectives\, while weeks five and six will prepare singers for performance settings. This class overlaps with the Vocal Technique for Jazz and Blues Singing. Registration for the Vocal Technique class is encouraged but not necessary. \nAccessibility: The chapel (where this group class is held) is accessible by a ramp outside Bryce Hall.
