SUMMARY:FREE Tune-In Music Program (at the West End Cultural Centre)
DESCRIPTION:The Tune-In Music Program has been an integral part of the West End Cultural Centre for almost as long as the WECC has been around. We offer FREE music instruction on the guitar\, bass\, drums\, voice\, and songwriting for youth ages 8-18. \nProfessional musicians provide two hours of instruction and mentorship once a week (Tuesdays from 4-6 pm) with new instruments provided through a grant from The Cardinal Foundation. This is a great opportunity for participants to try out a new instrument or focus on one that they’re interested in. \nFor more information\, please contact the West End Cultural Centre at 204-783-6918 or info@wecc.ca. \nThe Tune-In Music Program is presented in partnership with Music Equals through the Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts (MCMA).

SUMMARY:Intro to Blues Singing for Adults EXTENSION
DESCRIPTION:Do you love the blues? Are you an adult singer who wants to expand your repertoire? This three-week vocal class extension will explore blues singing from its earliest form to contemporary examples. Singers will learn to recognize the 12-Bar Blues\, as well as learn standards in the 12-Bar Blues tradition. Singers who also play guitar or ukulele are welcome to bring their instruments along. \nAccessibility: Our ensemble room (where this group class is held) is accessible by a ramp outside Bryce Hall. Once you enter the building\, you’ll find a gender neutral\, accessible washroom available to you. This is next to a push plate activated door leading to our ensemble room. There is a Handi-Transit stop across the street from Bryce Hall. An accessibility map can be viewed here.
