SUMMARY:Intro to Violin-3:30 pm (fall)
DESCRIPTION:Is your child curious about becoming a strings player? Local violinist Clair Tang will use creative ways to introduce the violin to little hands! This four week introduction program will cover the basics of posture\, bow holds\, tone production\, notation and getting those fingers down on the string for their first notes. The goal is to discover aptitude\, interest\, fun music making and community. Tuition includes the cost of a monthly instrument rental. \nThese introductory classes are designed to be a stepping stone towards private music lessons. We are offering graduates of this class a $50 discount for individual instruction. Intro to Violin students must register for private lessons within one year of graduation from this class in order to take advantage of this special offer. \nAccessibility: Our ensemble room (where this group class is held) is accessible by a ramp outside Bryce Hall. Once you enter the building\, you’ll find a gender neutral\, accessible washroom available to you. This is next to a push plate activated door leading to our ensemble room.
