04 Aug We can’t wait to welcome you back!
Some good news for you all! We will be resuming in-person lessons starting on September 8. To make sure everything runs smoothly and safely, we only will be using half of our studios (five studios) and implementing new policies and procedures.
Piano, strings, guitar and percussion lessons will be available on-site. These students are welcome to continue their lessons virtually if that’s what they would prefer.
Due to the risk of droplet spread for voice, winds and brass, those disciplines will continue virtually. We are monitoring medical studies and information as it is released, and we hope to resume on-site lessons for these disciplines when we are certain it’s safe.
Some teachers may choose to offer exclusively virtual lessons for the first term. If that’s the case for your teachers, we will be reaching out to you.
As we are limiting the number of students on-site at all times, we are prioritizing beginner students, rural students, and students that aren’t able to take virtual lessons.
We encourage virtual lessons for any student who can do so.
Our fall group classes starting in October will be offered virtually. We will be reassessing for our winter group classes.
To ensure everyone’s safety, we are working on strategies to manage exit and entrance traffic from the building, studios, and the washroom to avoid contact with others as much as possible. We will also be implementing a self-screening tool for everyone entering the building. Once the procedures have been confirmed, we will share everything with you.
In addition to everything mentioned above, we will ensure a distance of two meters is respected and have hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes in each studio and at the Student Services Desk. We will be taking cashless or no-contact payments and discourage using cash as much as possible.
See you soon!
