30 Mar Suspending Operations Due to COVID-19
Our community is our first priority here at MCMA, and we are keeping a close eye on the news and taking measures to keep everyone safe.
On March 30, the Manitoba government issued a new public health order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. As of April 1, 2020, all businesses that are not listed in the schedule of critical services must close between April 1 and April 14. As a result of this order we will continue to suspend on-site operations until April 14 and will keep you informed should there be other public health orders issued.
Music Equals programming is also suspended until April 14. On March 23, the University of Winnipeg closed their campus, which includes the Bryce Hall building, so our staff members are not able to work from the office.
Our staff members will be working from home and will be checking email and voicemail messages regularly. We will be re-assessing leading up to April 6, and we will keep everyone in the loop.
If you are an MCMA student or faculty member, you will see an email with more detailed information regarding your lessons in your inbox.
We are taking the recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada to stay home and to avoid contact with others very seriously. For more information on how to keep you and your loved ones healthy, please consult the Public Health Agency of Canada’s website.
We are finding comfort in our favourite music, and we hope you do too. Take care of one another and stay safe.
All the best,
The MCMA Board & Staff
