A Seriously Good News Story
Our Outreach Evaluation Report 2010 – 2011 tells of the amazing impact our program has had — going beyond our walls and planting musical seeds where we see a need in our community. It’s not a money-maker. It’s a music maker and we’re very seriously committed to it.
The objectives are simple:
- To expose disadvantaged children to music in an enjoyable environment;
- To increase students’ technical ability on their instruments.
This past year 11 Conservatory Faculty and over 300 students participated, improved and enjoyed their musical experience. It’s had the positive impact that only achievements in music can bring. And we had an extensive program of Musical Therapy that we conducted in senior residences.
