Songwriting with Christine Fellows

Words, music, creativity – how do they all fit together? This is a new program that offers insight into the creative process of songwriting. Students will be able to enhance their writing skills, develop ideas, study other works, and ultimately create their own songs in a group setting. This course caters to amateur songwriters, aged 16 and up, who are interested in mentorship from an accomplished artist. The ability to accompany themselves on an instrument (i.e. basic chording skills on piano or guitar) is recommended, but not required. Students will be encouraged to create and workshop new songs, and to experiment and collaborate with fellow students throught the 12-week course. Students should be comfortable with public presentation at the end of the program.
