Biography
Patrick began his individual guitar lessons at age 9 with Ron Linnebach. He went on to study at University completing a B.A. in Jazz from U of St-Francis-Xavier (Nova-Scotia) in 1993, then a B.A. in Classical from U of Montreal in 2003. He has attended summer workshops at the Banff Center for the Arts (Jazz) and the Domaine Forget (Classical). Patrick has been giving individual guitar lessons since 1993: he has prepared students for University, RCM exams (up to grade 8 ) and RCM theory (up to intermediate rudiments). He has taught at Concord College (previously CMU) and Elmwood High School (in the after school program) Patrick has also worked in a non-musical setting as a T.A. (substitute) in Winnipeg, #1 School Division with all age groups. Aside from teaching, Patrick has performed in variety of venues in the city. Notable shows include “Jazz on the Rooftop” and the MCMA Baroque Concert Series with Eric Lussier (distant cousin). Currently Patrick maintains a studio in the Exchange District and performs regularly.
