Biography

Erica Schultz, (pianist and harpist), along with her brother, Victor Schultz (violinist), toured together for many years performing recitals in Canada, the United States, and Europe. In the course of her career Erica Schultz has accompanied vocalists (Tracy Dahl, Valdine Anderson), choirs (Winnipeg Singers, Mennonite Children’s Choir), and instrumentalists (Jimmy Lin, Itzhak Perlman) in recitals, competitions, and master classes. She has also had the opportunity to perform in a variety of musical productions, including “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, “The Fantasticks”, “Head” for Shakespeare In The Ruins, and “The Light in the Piazza”. Ms. Schultz’s piano teachers have included William Aide (Winnipeg), Lawrence Jones (Brandon), Samuel Lipman (Aspen, Colorado), and Tomas Muraco (New York). Her harp teachers have been Judy Loman (Toronto), Eileen Dishinger, and Nancy Allen (Aspen, Colorado). Ms. Schultz has adjudicated throughout Manitoba, Kenora, Edmonton, and Vancouver. She maintains a private studio and is an instructor through the Preparatory Division of the School of Music at the University of Manitoba. Ms. Schultz acted as the President of the Manitoba division of the Canadian Music Competition for ten years, before resigning from the position in 2011.
