The Conservatory has found that students have a more positive experience and tend to learn/achieve more if some care is taken to match student needs with teacher strengths.
You can’t do that effectively over the net, so we don’t do on-line registration. The Conservatory prefers a phone call so we can gather as much information as possible and make the best possible teacher recommendation for our students. We also offer and recommend a free consultation for the student (and parent) to meet with the teacher to talk about student needs. Only then can we help you make the informed choice that most benefit your child.
It’s a little old-fashioned. But it does produce better Faculty/student chemistry. And as we all know, good chemistry makes the musical journey better for everyone “in the band.”
